Terms of Service
If you are planning to go forth and commission RoseTooth, you are fully agreeing to the following terms. Please take time to read everything carefully. By doing business with RoseTooth Couture, you are agreeing to all of the following.
Price:
At the time of acceptance into our queue, you will be given a price based on your characters design and concept, and any specifications given from you. If you wish to change your design later on, this may affect your final price. We reserve the right to deny changes to the characters design. All starting prices are listed on our 'Prices' page.
Payments:
A 30% NON-REFUNDABLE downpayment is required to confirm your spot in the RoseTooth commission lineup. This payment must be sent via PayPal within 1 week of your chosen slot. This amount will be used to purchase all materials and fabrics needed for your costume. We DO allow payment plans, however your commission will NOT be started until the suit is paid in full. The full payment must be made within 4 months of acceptance. Depending on your character's specific designs and/or commission type, a possible extension in your payment plan is possible. To inquire about this, please discuss it with us. If you do you not meet these payment deadlines, your commission will be terminated. Please be certain in your decision to commission us.
Refunds
If you are seeking a possible refund, you may be eligible depending on the current status of your costume. Reminder that 30% of the total final payment is NOT refundable. If the suit is completed 100%, you are not able to be refunded. We have full rights to terminate your commission if we feel you are not competent. This includes any form of harassment, racism, transphobia, homophobia, etc.
Deadlines & Work Progress:
We are unable to calculate off the bat if a deadline is possible. Certain things may arise which could cause a delay in your costume's completion. Convention deliveries are possible if both parties are definitely attending the convention. Please consult us to discuss any deadline plans or ideas that you may have. We will give you our Trello upon your downpayment for you to keep and watch the progress of your suit while it's being made. Every so often we will send you progress photos of your suit. Feel free to post or share those photos if you'd like! Please note that we do not accept "rush fees", as our work schedule is typically prioritized by which project has been paid in full first.
Repairs:
Upon arrival, if you notice any issues in quality with your costume, we are more than happy to fix them for free! However, if the issue is due to your own faultiness or by rough use, we will charge for repairs. Each repair is taken case by case and will need to be discussed. We may deny any repairs and have full right to do so if we believe you have intentionally injured your suit. Please remember that our costumes are handmade pieces of wearable artwork, and damage over time is likely. If your costume has LEDs, it is possible for the wires to become faulty with rough use. Make sure the batteries are refreshed if the lights begin to dim. We will only consider free refurbs up to a year after the costume has been received. With a mix of hand sewing and machine sewing, we strive to make our suits as durable as we can. If you have any concerns regarding your suit's construction, feel free to contact us before commissioning.
Age Requirement:
You must be 18+ to commission us. You will be required to upload a photo of your state issued ID or driver's license to confirm your age. We will not do business with anyone under 18.
Shipping:
You are required to pay shipping in full. We are not responsible for any damages or losses during or after shipment. We do accept international shipping, however that is very likely to cause a higher shipping price with import fees. Please be prepared to spend upwards of $300+, but most shipping within the USA is around or under $100. Full insurance will always be applied to the package, which may increase the cost of shipping. We understand that a higher cost of shipping may be unexpected and will allow a short-term payment plan if needed.
*2025 Update: Please note that due to the recent tariffs that have been implemented in the USA, import fees may be considerably higher for international clients. If you have any concerns, please contact your post office for information.

Concept Art:
When filling out a quote form, please submit a reference sheet of your character that is at LEAST 2-views. This should show a front and side profile of your character and should be clear while accurately displaying all colors and markings. If your reference photo does not meet these requirements, we will be unable to give you a price. If you have selected an Artistic Liberty commission type, this is not required, and we will work with you to come up with a design. We do not accept any AI generated references, as this will result in an immediate blacklist.
Allergy Warning:
Here at the RoseTooth household, we happily own 3 lovely cats and a dog. As they do not have direct contact to any fur fabrics or materials used on commissions, the trace of pet dander is always possible. If you happen to have a feline and/or canine allergy we advise that you do not commission us in case of allergic reaction. We are not responsible for any medical mishaps caused by this.
Sizing:
If you are ordering a costume from us that includes a head and/or bodysuit, we will need sizing specifications from you. For a head, we will need your crown size. A bodysuit will require a duct-tape-dummy (DTD) to be made and shipped to us. You are responsible for the shipping of the DTD. Please use painters coveralls and a strong, sturdy duct tape. The tape should go down to your ankles, and up to your wrists and the very base of your neck. There are plenty of DTD tutorials online if you need assistance with making one.
Artistic Liberty:
If you would like to commission us, but don't have a character, this option will allow for one to be designed for you. This applies to any commission type. You may send a color palate/species/theme that you would like incorporated in the design. Along with that, a price you are willing to pay. This will determine the complexity of the design. Once your specifications are given, and the downpayment or full payment is made, we will work with you to design your character. Please allow 1-2 weeks for the final concept reference to be made.
